Pipedrive was founded in 2010 by a team of sales professionals and software developers. Timo Rein and Urmas Purde had previously co-founded Vain & Partners, a leading sales training company operating in Baltics and Nordics. As the company grew sales internationally the team experienced increasing amounts of software pains. There simply was no reasonable solution for managing the company's sales pipeline. After their latest $30.000 purchase of CRM software didn't deliver expected results they teamed up with Martin Tajur, Ragnar Sass and Martin Henk (the trio had co-founded the world's second largest social network for pets. Additionally, Tajur had spent nearly 5 years at Skype in various design and developer roles and Sass had co-founded Garage48 hackatlon organiser) to create Pipedrive, a simple and yet powerful tool for managing and growing sales.
