Optillel Solutions Inc provides a Cloud based solution to rank “whisper number” predictions for stock earnings in the wild, including Yahoo finance forums, Twitter feeds, and Facebook feeds. A poster’s past earnings predictions are back tested against historical released stock earnings, intra day tick by tick stock data, and SEC filings. Weights are generated for each poster per stock symbol based on their prior prediction accuracy. The vast majority of the earnings prediction in the forums is no better than a coin flip. Our solution solves the needle in the hay stack problem in this domain by automatically identifying the few posts with prediction power in real time. Taking a position in a stock prior to the earnings surprise being fully reflected in the stock price is a long term profitable strategy.
