Company description
OnRelay’s Mobile Office Phone system targets a $60B global market, using cloud computing and mobile apps to disrupt the enterprise hardware comms market.
Swisscom just launched OnRelay and has 10 revenue generating corporate customers.
Mid-size businesses have one real option for their phone system – buy a costly IP PBX for $1,200 per extension that nobody uses. Also, IT managers have lost control with cell-calls bypassing PBX call management, e.g, switchboard / IVR / voice mail, and call governance / logging. End users struggle with flexible working issues using their smartphone for both business and personal calls.
For a fraction of the cost OnRelay sells a complete Cloud Mobile Office Phone system. Its MCX product can replace desk phones with smartphones and separate calls to/from business and personal numbers. Sold as SaaS via telecom and managed service providers, MCX is cloud hosted, requires no hardware, deploys in hours, scales from 50-1000+ users and supports customization.

Business model
MCX is distributed via cloud/managed and communications service providers and is sold with a SaaS price model. OnRelay has 100% gross margins with no 3rd party licensing costs when creating customer server cloud images. A service provider can launch MCX in weeks, which provides OnRelay a scalable model with a viable mid-term growth path to $100M revenues. 12 month target is to sign 50 US service providers
Competitive advantage
(1) Scalability: Unlike ASP/Centrex solutions, MCX scales to customers with 50-1000+ users, allowing full system ownership, security and flexibility. Competitors RingCentral and Broadsoft do not scale to companies with more than 20 end users.
(2) Mobility: MCX has a vastly more advanced Mobility solution than any hardware PBX, ASP service or virtual PBX. MCX’s sophisticated mobile user experience is backed by a production quality mobile-cloud software system comprising >1M lines proprietary code with a multitude of secrets and innovations.
(3) IPR: OnRelay's patent is referenced by 21 US patents, including AT&T, Sprint, Cisco, Avaya, NEC, Nokia, Motorola and Ericsson.
