Testimonials

Nosocom solutions are forward thinking in helping healthcare reduce hospital born infections. Please review their technology for your organization.

Nosocom Solutions is attacking the hospital-associated infections (HAI) head-on. Naresh is extremely smart and has a deep understanding of the industry. I am extremely impressed with one of its inventions - DCab. While the company has patents for several inventions, DCab, is the crown jewel. It is a no-brainer to procure for any hospital or health-care facility. It is very economical, easy plug and play and can be operated by anyone with limited education and training. The best part is that 15 minutes within DCab completely disinfects aprons and coats.

I am very certain Naresh is going to take Nosocom Solutions to new heights.

Company description

Nosocom Solutions Inc, is a startup focused on developing technologies to prevent the spread of Healthcare Associated Infections (HAI). HAI are the infections that patients acquire when receiving treatment at a healthcare facility. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), about 1 in 25 hospitalized patients acquire infections while receiving healthcare treatment in U.S. hospitals, resulting in $33-45 billion in excess medical costs every year and results in death of 75,000 people a year, and millions across the world. Evolving of antibiotic resistant bacteria and virus like Ebola further worsen this problem.

PROBLEM: Lead aprons are traditionally used in orthopedic operating rooms, cardiac catheterization labs, radiation oncology facilities, etc., as a protection from X-rays.Unfortunately, they do not have a good process to disinfect them daily. Current practice to clean lead aprons is to disinfect them once every 7-10 days (or less) using chemical wipes. The lead aprons have been found to harbor infectious pathogens such as Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Clostridium difficile, Carbapenam Resistant Enterococci (CRE), that could be passed on the patients during surgeries.

THE SOLUTION

“Nosocom Solutions Inc.” has developed a proprietary disinfection cabinet- “DCab”, that uses an ultraviolet-C (UV-C) radiation based approach to provide quick (10-15 minutes), efficient (99%), and low cost disinfection of lead aprons and white coats in healthcare facilities to reduce possibility of HCW spreading HAI.

Market size- USA- $1-2 Billion; World- $3-4 Billion
