Company description

People with disabilities, 1 in 5 people in the world, face a 50% higher rate of unemployment, social stigma, isolation, lack of community resources, personal guidance and support. Businesses, only focus their diversity and inclusion efforts on gender, race and ethnicities. They lack ways to actively connect with and attract people with disabilities, as well as educating and training valued employees on being inclusive for people with disabilities in terms of their culture, workplace, products and unlocking market potential. NextBillion.org is a platform where people with invisible and visible disabilities are matched with industry leaders from businesses for a 12-week personal mentorship program with access to resources, community and job opportunities. By having employees as mentors in the program – businesses work directly with our community of people with disabilities to build inclusive workforces, create accessible products, and connect with potential hires. We're unique because we focus on curating and fostering each mentorship pair, matching based on personal stories, providing resources through a custom mentorship platform and collaborating with businesses. We are a team with disabilities who’ve worked for Google, Microsoft, IBM, NASA, and UN. Our vision is to build an inclusive society by eliminating the stigma around disabilities.
