Company description

MemoryWell is a network of 300 journalists across the country writing life stories of those with Alzheimer's and dementia to help improve care. The stories anchor each person's page on our website and families upload favorite music, photos and videos to give caregivers a toolbox of things with which to engage them. Care homes suffer from 55 percent caregiver turnover, on average, leading to disjointed or uneven care. They are isolating places. Currently, families are asked to fill out pages-long questionnaires about their loved ones' lives. This can be a wrenching process, sometimes taking months, and for what? The often handwritten products usually sit in binders gathering dust. Who can remember 20-pages of data points for dozens of residents? MemoryWell replaces those documents with a beautiful story written by a professional journalist. Each one-page narrative is printable, so homes can laminate them and put them up or in care plans; They also come with a digital version where families can add photos, videos, arts and readings. Every person has a story; MemoryWell gives voice to those who can no longer tell theirs. We are putting the person in person-centered care.
