Seriously, it’s time to make a change and I am ready to be the one who does it. Dark Culture is the community of people around the globe that want to know what is going on outside of the normal pop culture. We don’t care if Paris is in or out of jail, or who Lindsey is sleeping with. We want to know what new kick ass music is coming out, what movies actually don’t suck!.

We are passionately seeking out new artwork to be inspired by, Writers that have a voice that isn’t just a passing Oprah fancy. Every morning I am assaulted with the daily pop culture news and information that really doesn’t pertain to ME. So what can I do about all of this? I can sit back and bitch about how America is really interested in sports, American Idol and Brangelina, or I can do something about it in a major way. It’s after much research and development that I am embracing a new culture for those like minded people who are not being properly serviced by the mass media that we are fed. The time is now to embrace the metal heads, emo kids, horror fiends, ren faire junkies, sci-fi geeks, internet nerds and club kids. Maybe I am the weird one… I don’t like hearing about the wars that are happening and I don’t like to watch the daily local news and find out that bad things are happening to good people. I like to live in my fantasy world of news that pertains to me, not what sports heroes are doing on the field. Those pieces of info are available in abundance, yet I don’t see much in the way of counter culture that caters to people like me. How? It’s up to us to start listening to them, for every teenager that shops at Hot Topic and doesn’t want the latest fashions from Sears, they have a voice and they have dollars to spend. This is an untapped flood of consumers. They are not that different from the average person who watches TV has a couple kids and a dog. These are the people that want to have things a little different, it may be their clothes or punk hair, it may be by reading a book and not vegging out to the latest reality show on TV. They want to be informed. Whats “cool”? Whats “scary”? What is a bit outside of the bullsh*t mainstream that the typical outlets are feeding us? The answer is The Secret Society of The Macabre.

I know that the title may seem a bit harsh, and not every sci-fi fan considers themselves to be morbid or spooky. Macabre is just such a mysterious word that conjures up strange and old fashioned images. The need for a place like this is painfully apparent when you go online and Digg through Myspace to find dark and creepy things. They are all over the place! From the hardcore fan who wears their loves on their skin with tattoos and piercing to the ones who like to keep their weird likes a bit hidden away.

The Secret Society of The Macabre is a community of people that are sick of the mainstream The Secret Society of The Macabre is a central hub for us “weirdos” to get informed about the great things that are available right now that we may not yet even know about! The Secret Society of The Macabre is soon to be a linear TV show on a REAL network, which will be supported by a heavy internet presence! The Secret Society of The Macabre is a group of people that are sick of the mainstream and want more out of life than what is spoonfed to the masses!

The Secret Society of The Macabre is where you should be looking towards to connect with this vast group of people that are ready for something new interesting and exciting to come into their lives. Lets give it to them!!! This is something that cannot be accomplished by just one person, this is a huge thing that can take over the world and create a new empire of BUZZ, $$$ and most importantly inspire people to bring out their most creative ideas and projects.
