Engineering Team:
The need has been validated by large players such as EFI, Kodak and Bitstream. However, none have proven successful in achieving market leadership, as their solutions are based on out-dated sales models and technology. They are sold as server licensed applications or ASP hosted. They are cost prohibitive to an overwhelming majority of printers, take months to deploy and require a heavy in-house IT expertise and expensive annual maintenance contracts. Some printers have custom-built alternatives just to meet their requirements - ending up technologically inferior and out-of-date by the time they launch, sometimes years later.
Keen is the first true Software-as-a-Service solution in the space - provides a zero maintenance experience to our customers and a recurring revenue stream to us.
