isiQiri interface technologies

Founded in September 2009 after about a year of research in the labs of Johannes Kepler University in Linz isiQiri interface technologies offers a patented large area sensor technology for man machine interaction solutions in a wide range of applications.

For customers who would like to add interactivity to their products - like projection screens, walls, floors, shop windows, clothing and many more - the isiQiri Q-Foil-technology is a patented new kind of interaction technology that is cost effective and can be used on areas up to the size of a cinema screen. Unlike existing technologies, such as infrared sensorics, camera based sensorics or similar technologies, the isiQiri Q-Foil-technology can easily be scaled to very large sizes.

Our first product is an interactive projection screen that we develop together with a pilot customer capable of generating computer input with a special laser pointer from any distance directly on the projection. The system is capable of handling multiuser input.

Products that are further down the pipeline include touch overlays up to 100" diagonal, light curtains for machine safety and interactive booths for trade fairs.

The company was founded by Robert Koeppe (CTO) and Richard Ebner (CEO).

Dr. Richard Ebner, MBA acquired a degree in physics before he gathered 10 years of experience in international marketing and sales as well as general management in a number of positions held in a big Austrian special steel maker and a Austrian hidden champion in the field of high-tech ropes. In addition to that he worked as senior consultant for high-tech startups in an Austrian technology incubator for three years.

Dr. Robert Koeppe is the inventor of the Q-Foil technology which almost ten years of development experience in the field of large area optical sensor solutions. He has a degree in physics.

Our company fully owns all intellectual rights on the Q-Foil technology. Our technology is protected by numerous worldwide patents and patent applications, creating a significant competitive advantage for isiQiri and its industrial partners.

Through its flexible out-licensing approach, collaboration strategy and custom-made material delivery, isiQiri is creating unique opportunities for partnerships that open new and interesting industrial applications, while minimizing risks and development time. Moreover, in fields where competition is fierce, we do favor exclusive collaborations in specific field of uses.

Tailor-made agreements enable rapid, proof-of-concept oriented co-development projects, where our know-how serves the needs and specific requirements of our industrial partners. If required, our customers may first receive test materials for validation. Results are then jointly analyzed and discussed to identify any performance target gap that may exist.
