Company description
The new Plug Ins Marketplace is expected to have small businesses to engage a new wave of app developers that can sell software through the new marketplace, expanding mobile app market coverage.
We plan to split the revenue from the marketplace with developers, with 20 percent for iBuildApp and 80 percent for the plug ins creator. For traditional technology companies this might sound like a bad deal, but for smaller developers we are hoping to offer a new way to build, distribute and market the mobile apps.
The marketplace is expected to work in a similar fashion to the App store used on the iPhone, with some plug ins available as a free download. It is unclear what the median price point will be for paid plug ins.
To start, iBuildApp will make its own plug ins available through the marketplace, including eCommerce, Coupons, Advertising, Pictures, Video and GPS. This software will cost between $10 and $100.
Based on Google’s success with Android apps, Chrome adoption rates and the overall market trend towards the cloud, the iBuildApp Marketplace is poised to be the next major mobile app distribution store.
The iBuildApp Marketplace will create a one-stop shopping market for these necessary apps with custom plug ins, and many more. Just as app users download apps for their devices from BlackBerry’s AppWorld, the Android Market, or the Apple App Store, the iBuildApp Plug ins Marketplace will function the same way for the apps.
The Android Market is growing rapidly with users, with nearly 250,000 apps available to Android owners. These numbers could have a big impact on iBuildApp’s growth as well as the success of the Plug Ins Marketplace. Android’s open-source environment is a big draw for developers as well, and iBuildApp plans to have the Plug Ins Marketplace function the same way, make sure developers will continue their relationship with iBuildApp.
