iYosh is an exciting new web application for internet consumers and e-tailers. It is about bringing your friends into the shopping experience by using a series of real-time applications and tools.
iYosh is currently in devlopment but has already been shortlisted for an award in the North East of England.
The founder and CEO is Emma Reilly, a 28 year-old entrepreneur from the North East of England.
Emma has run several unqiue businesses in the past. Her current company is www.fizzbangseo.com which provides internet marketing services to companies throughout the UK.
Emma recently entered the prestigious 'If we can you can challenge 2009' which is run by the North East Entrepreneurs Forum. She was one of six individuals chosen to pitch to six successful entrepreneurs from the region. Emma was then selected as one of the final two individuals to face the final public vote, lasting one month. Her efforts are being documented by the Newcastle Evening Chronicle. You can also follow her blog at http://iyosh.wordpress.com
iYosh allows pre-established social networks (Facebook) the opportunity to shop together online in a new and more personal way. It does this with a series of applications that gather real-time data about the users shopping habits. This data is then used to power a new type of product comparison engine that is unqiue to each individual user.
Revenue is generated through a mixture of application sponsorship, refferal marketing and our premium retailers application. This is a unqiue tool that sits inside the shop window and communicates directly with the consumers application to offer a set of specialist communication tools and personalised marketing.
We are currently going through the process of securing seed-funding with the help of Codeworks (the North East regional development agency for digital who have worked with us as advisors).
We offer a highly unique set of tools that provide users with an original service, but one that sits inside and already proven market.
The company founder has already generated much press attention and has grown the brand into a company to watch in the UK.
