Fun2Rent.com an online platform that connects owners of recreation and powersport vehicles (boats, jet skis, snowmobiles, all-terrain vehicles, trailers, and more) with individuals interested in renting these vehicles. Owners earn money on their idle assets and renters save up to 70% by renting from private owners.
The platform allows owners to earn supplemental income from their vehicles and provides renters a fully-insured, reasonably-priced alternative to online and local powersport rental companies. Our mission is to become the VRBO/Airbnb of the recreation and powersport rental market. The main difference is that both owners and renters have insurance.

Currently our team consits of five energetic and highly skilled professionals with a passion to expand Fun2Rent. We are eager to follow other leaders in the Collaborative Consumpiton space, Airbnb, Getaround, TaskRabbit, ThredUp, RelayRides, and Rentalic.
Founder and CEO: Shawn Gardner, who developed Fun2Rent from idea to working platform. Shawn has always been a powersports enthusiast and raced street motorcycles as a hobby. While bootstraping Fun2Rent, Shawn has brought this company to present with own funds, a strong drive and hard work, at the same time as he's working for City of Saratoga.
Co-Founder: Elin Bostrom. Elin is also a life long powersports fan and motorcycle rider who has traveled at speeds over 190 mph on two wheels at various race tracks in Sweden and California. Elin has worked in software and embeded systems in Engineering roles to Senior Business Development. Her extensive background brings a real value to this startup with marketing, development, team leadership and a passion for powersports.
Chief Financial Officer: Michael Voie, CPA. Mike is a fellow entrepreneur and brings over 15 years of financial management experience in the high technology sector to Fun2Rent. Mike is responsible for all financial aspects of the business including accounting infrastructure, budgeting, risk management, financial planning and analysis.Mike is also an avid outdoor motorsports fan who can be found regularly commuting on his motorcycle and continually looking forward to renting dirt bikes from owners through Fun2Rent.
Advisor :David McKenzie, a graduate of Stanford University, currently works for a newly established venture capital firm in Europe.
Lead of Marketing and Publicity: Emilie McDonough. Emilie is an experienced writer and editor with a background in sales and marketing. Emilie has a B.A. in English and History, and she has also obtained her M.A. in Publishing Studies from City University in 2006. Emilie comes to Fun2Rent with 5yrs experience as Sales & Marketing Coordinator for Adler Publishing, helping sell and promote their off-road guidebooks.
Other Team Members: Our developers and designer are currently contract employees our developement team was rated top 3% of 300k coders on Vworker. They have done an outstanding job and we will continue to use them untill we can hire a local developer.
Our business model is primarily based on a 25% commission fee for rental transactions, we will soon implement featured listing fees of $5, and future revenue will come from classified listing fees. A significant portion of its listings will originate from marketing through dealerships and trade shows. In order to grow, Fun2rent plans to initially market its service in the US. It will also investigate expanding to Canada and other countries.
Fun2rent's peer to peer model is unique to the market place, most competitors are brick and mortar operations that are expensive and generally can not provide rental insurance.
