Company description
Non-profit FryDyne seeks to
- Reduce resource waste (transportation, fuel, pollution) of vegetable oil transport by aiding food service companies to source locally produced vegetable oil (rather than ship it from elsewhere)
- Further reduce resource waste by collecting waste vegetable oil (used vegetable oil) at nominal cost to food service company
- Filter, treat, and sell the recycled vegetable oil as inexpensive, cleaner-burning, efficient fuel alternative
- Coordinate with local governments and neighborhoods to educate about alternative fuel options for vehicles and catalyze adoption of simple vehicle conversions through outreach, grant application, and demonstration.
Business model
As a non-profit entity, FryDyne's mission is to offer inexpensive, more environmentally friendly fuel while reducing waste in existing mainstream processes and educating the public to encourage widespread adoption.
Competitive advantage
FryDyne has already procured a facility suitable for the crucial filtering and processing of waste vegetable oil, in an area with a high density of small restaurants that pay for the import and export of vegetable oil from their locations.
