Boxbe is a service that lets you easily create an email guest list so that you can make sure you receive email messages from people who matter to you. Boxbe's guest list works just like your IM buddy list or your social network friends page. It contains only those you've added or invited. Boxbe's Email by Invitation is free and works with most popular email services including Yahoo! Mail, Outlook and Gmail.

Thede first wrote about using a payment to screen incoming email while researching the problem as a graduate student at the University of Michigan. He combined that research with the experience he gained building several technology companies (as a principal at Diamond Technology and Management Consultants, a founder of Leverage Information Systems and an early employee of Match.com) to bring Boxbe to life.
As co-founder and President of Boxbe, Thede is working feverishly to make Boxbe's vision a reality. In addition to being Boxbe's evangelist, he leads the company's technology efforts, acting as chief architect and head of engineering and technical operations. Thede is also chairman of Boxbe's Board of Directors.
Corbett has straddled business and technology throughout his career. After starting out as a software developer and project manager, he joined Diamond Management and Technology Consultants to broaden his skills and help Fortune 500 clients use technology to enable new business strategies. Six years of management consulting prepared him to start something from the ground up, which led to founding Boxbe.
As co-founder and COO of Boxbe, Corbett is obsessed with building a service that our members can't live without. He also handles many of the company's traditional business activities, including finance, recruiting and operations and serves on Boxbe's Board of Directors.
