Company description
Elemental Path is a 15-person startup dedicated to revolutionizing the way kids learn and play. After winning the IBM Watson mobile developer challenge, the company created its flagship product, the CogniToys Dino. Elemental Path’s journey began with a simple question: how can we make smart technology fun, educational, and safe for kids? The answer came in the form of a cute and curious dinosaur with the most advanced speech recognition software for kids on the market. As well as being screen-free, CogniToys use the power of IBM Watson, the most advanced supercomputer in the world, to deliver a child-driven play experience unlike any other. As explained by Time Magazine, "Rather than repeating catchphrases, as ‘talking’ toys have done for generations, this dinosaur taps IBM’s Watson technology to engage with kids ages 5 to 9 in a meaningful way." Co-founded by entrepreneurs Donald Coolidge, a military veteran, and JP Benini, a self-taught network and infrastructure specialist, Elemental Path has received countless accolades, gaining international recognition from publications such as USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, and Fox News. Today, the vision-focused startup continues to grow, and has many exciting new projects planned for the future.
