Dr. Edgar Garcia is a professor of advance education, the founding chair of the telecom integrator Konet, and a founding member of a wireless operator of 4G services. Garcia is a consultant of technology and innovation for a wide range of industries including High-Tech (Telecom, IT), Education (mostly Universities), Government Agencies, and services companies among others. He is a professor of Leadership, General & Technology Management, Organizational Theory, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship. In addition, he is an entrepreneur. He is the founder of a small company (telecom integrator) and an investor and partner of three more ventures.  These entrepreneurial ventures were his real test scenarios about how entrepreneurship and innovation drives economic growth and opportunities and how leadership and management develop the created opportunities.

 

Garcia has consulted with companies, institutions, and governments in Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and North America. He facilitates programs for leaders in business, government, and educational institutions that focus on creating corporate value and achieving constructive outcomes through technology and innovation.  He also provides executive and leadership coaching to individuals and teams.  Garcia is a member of the Entrepreneurial Board of Directors of the Inter American University of Puerto Rico.

 

Garcia holds a Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership from University of Phoenix, online campus. He has a MBA in Marketing from University of Phoenix, Puerto Rico Campus and a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico. Garcia dissertation studied the productivity of knowledge workers in the remote environment and how organizations can improve the productivity of their knowledge workforce.  He has completed programs in the MIT Sloan School of Management in the area of Business Dynamics and University of California Berkeley in the area of Open Innovation and Corporate Entrepreneurship.
