is a free, community based service that was developed with three purposes in mind.
First and foremost
, Dear Vivian was created to help small businesses owners achieve greater success, by improving their ability to communicate more effectively with customers. Opening the lines of communication with customers gives owners the knowledge and insight they need to increase customer retention, build loyalty, and improve overall growth and profitability.
, Dear Vivian gives customers an easy and effective way to participate in the success of their favourite local businesses. Dear Vivian removes the barriers that many customers face when they want to leave feedback or comments for a business owner. The more comments a business owner receives, the easier it is for them to meet customer expectations and ensure their continued support. By playing an active role, customers have the opportunity to benefit from the positive changes they helped make possible.
Strong and vibrant communities with good economies don’t just happen. They’re created when people get involved and participate in positive change. The average citizen can make a difference by simply sharing their thoughts and ideas with business owners and leaders in the community.
I recently divested my partnership in a marketing and communications firm. My primary role in the firm was client strategy and business development. I now have two applications in development and do consulting part time.
The service will soon transition from a membership fee based business model to a free membership model that generates revenue through the sale of support materials and feature advertising. I'm also pursuing potential merger and acquisition opportunities at this time, with interest so far coming from the newspaper industry. Partnership and investment inquires are welcome.
There are many businesses developing communication solutions for big business, but few are catering to the small business market.
This service makes it easily and convenient for business owners to communicate more effectively with their customers, which is becoming increasingly more important to their success.
The fact that communications are kept private when using this service, also makes it unique. While the trend is to publish reviews and ratings for all to see, most small business owners don't like it. Making it easy for customers to communicate with business owners (anonymously if they prefer), means they are less likely to communicate in ways that are damaging to a business.
