Business model

Contineo sells an enterprise application to health care organizations. The system is a client server architecture consisting of a redundant pair of application servers, commodity hand held clients (iPod Touch) and professional integration services.

Annual support maintenance and licensing fees apply.

Competitive advantage

Current mobile health care systems rely on full size tablet or laptop systems to be able to run the patients charting application. Contineo is back-end agnostic mobile client initially deployed on iPod Touch devices. This allows for a truly mobile, low-cost solution for medical professionals to access patient records and charts, receive nursing orders, results and alerts.

By providing a middleware based solution, Contineo can bring together information from multiple in-hospital information systems and provide a single window into all pertinent alerts and information care givers need to be effective.

By providing a standards based connection to HIS and EHR systems, Contineo provides a compelling ROI which allows for increased efficacy of care, efficiency in workflow and lower cost of operation. Additionally, positively impacting the physical workflow and throughput of medical professionals makes focusing on the care they give easier, less stressful and more accurate.
