ConnectMedical allows patients to send medical information such as blood glucose measurements through a secure wireless network directly from their glucometer to their doctor without any extra work. Our computer servers would alert our healthcare professionals if the glucose measurements are extremely high or low, or consistently abnormal.  Such an alert would result in a phone call to the patient and to the patient's primary care doctor.  Our goal is to better manage chronic diseases like diabetes, and to reduce or delay severe complications like amputations, kidney failure, or blindness. With 23.6 million diabetics in the U.S. and a yearly cost of $132 billion for diabetic treatment (1 out of every 10 healthcare dollars spent), the market need is huge.  Currently, competition is low, and expected annual revenues are over $100 million in 3 years with 50% net profits.  ConnectMedical is the future of preventive medicine and chronic disease management.

The executive team consists of soon-to-be MDs and MBAs.  Chris Barra will be the CIO, Carlos Lopez will be the CMO, Gunjan Christensen will be the medical director and the service R&D specialist, Eric Higgins will be the CFO, and Shawn Safieddin will be the Sales Manager.  Our management team has excellent credentials.  Eric Higgins and Christopher Barra both have experience in starting and running successful start-up companies.  In addition, Eric Higgins has a background in finance and Christopher Barra has worked for years in Information Technology.  Carlos Lopez has extensive experience in marketing.  Shawn Safieddin is an expert in Sales with the best sales record at Hertz Corporation in the nation. Gunjan Christensen is a future MD and MBA with experience working in primary care clinics.
