Company description
Like vision loss, hearing loss is common and affects nearly 1 in 4 people in the US, including Amy Li, who went through 6-7 pairs ($20B market in the US). Hearing aids are expensive ($5,000 and not covered by most insurances), very bulky, and take months of in-office appointments to get. 60% of people with hearing loss are working age, and unfortunately in many cases, hearing aids are actually unwearable on the job. So Amy Li (Stanford MBA, Genentech, bioengineer, hearing aid user) and David Northway (Stanford Product Design, Apple, GoPro, Astro Gaming) started their company, Concha Labs, to build the first invisible, affordable hearing devices that people will love wearing all day, on the job and at home. Concha's delightful and scalable patent-pending solution empowers users to try before they buy and takes only a couple minutes to set up and personalize, anywhere. We have over a hundred customer signups, as well as several channel partnerships.
