Company description
To create an online educational website that is a one stop shop for prospective college students. This website will be connected to area school districts and provide an easy way for high school students to create their own personal webpage similar to a MySpace or a Facebook page through their school. This page can then be sent to various colleges of interest. Each college can then view and analyze each students’ webpage and use them for their entry process.

Business model
Internet business model:
We will use an internet business model similar to Facebook. We will allow companies to advertise on or website. This will generate the revenue we need to sustain the organization. The future market for any company will be using our website. We will allow those companies to 'target' their future consumers with a higher percentage of accuracy based on each individual's personal preference.
Competitive advantage
I have searched the web and I have seen that there are some companies offering services similar to what CollEdge offers. The difference between us and the competition is the fact that our services are free and they do not use the social networking aspects similar to a Facebook that all of the kids use today. Our site is free to the student, parent, school district, and to each participating college. We also establish a link between those four groups. Our competition does not provide that link. We also allow the kids to use their 'expertise' in the social networking realm, to help improve their chances of getting into the college of their choice.
