Security products to combat security incidents have evolved to a certain level of reliability but the operating environments and surrounding technologies within which customers deal with the problem have not kept pace.  All security solutions (spam-filters, Anti-Virus, Firewalls, IDS, etc.) are inherently flawed in that none are completely effective on eliminating 100% of the attacks against networks or users within these networks.  Today, nearly every corporation, large and small, as well as the whole Internet service provider industry has instituted processes and personnel for handling complaints about the outbound network abuse that continues and even increases every day. Growing and upcoming mobile technologies and the introduction of IPv6 will multiply these security issues. This already accounts for 100’s of thousands of attacks per day even in modestly sized ISPs.  abusix is the first company to provide cloud services that specifically addresses the automation, optimization and cost savings of customer focused abuse groups that deal with spam, phishing, and network attacks (e.g., DDoS, SSH, Harvesting, etc.) and helps all network operating industries to sustainably clean their infrastructure. 

As its first key market, abusix will cover the typical internet service provider models (access, hosting, servers) followed by big enterprises with huge internal networks, mobile service providers, email service providers and even content service providers, such as social networks, can be covered by the AbuseHQ Security Cloud.  The number of targetable Internet service providers worldwide is nearly 100,000; an estimate that provides an insight on the market opportunity for abusix services.  The number of large enterprises addressable by abusix services is roughly comparable to the Internet service provider market.  The email service provider and content service provider markets are nearly impossible to accurately access however, we believe that this market is at least twice as big.
