VinoForDinner.com specializes in reviewing wines that are less then $30 a bottle and widely distributed within the United States. Wine sales in the U.S. have double in the last 10 years but as the wine aisle grows so does the level of confusion for the average consumer. It's our goal to de-mystify the wine buying experience through our reviews, wine education and mobile applications. Our first mobile application was released for the Apple iPhone in November. The application provides an easy to use food and wine pairing guide that returns our top rated wines. The application will be expanded to include all of the functionality of the website on the iPhone. This includes access to our entire database of reviews, wine lists, user reviews and "My Vino" user favorites.
Vino For Dinner Mobile is currently sold world wide via the Apple App Store for $2.99 US. We receive a royalty payment per download. In the month of November, Vino For Dinner Mobile was downloaded in 13 different countries without any ad spend. Starting in January we will be selling direct advertising on VinoForDinner.com and placement advertisements on our mobile applications.
Most of the wines we review are over looked by the large publications. This void is leaving the largest consumer group without a place to turn for reviews. We are the only website dedicated to reviewing these wines on the web and via mobile applications. The ability to provide trusted reviews at the point of sale increases our advertising value.
