Management Bio

Guy Piekarz

President and Chief Executive Officer - Co-Founder

Guy manages the overall operations of Unisfair, including defining and directing Unisfair's technology vision and strategic business goals.

Before founding Unisfair, Guy was a team leader in the R&D group of Veon Ltd. (acquired by Philips), which offers MPEG-4 products to create and deliver streaming audio, video and graphics content over the Internet as well as emerging broadband and mobile IP networks.

Prior to joining Veon, Guy worked as a senior engineer in the Internet department at Amdocs Ltd. (NASDAQ:DOX), where he developed and designed new infrastructure platforms on which the company's Internet products are based.

Guy began his career managing the development of innovative technologies in the Israel Defense Forces' Intelligence Corps while serving as an officer for five years.

Guy holds a BSc. in Computer Science and Economics from Tel Aviv University and graduated from North Western University Kellogg School of Management's Advanced Leadership Program.

 

 

Mark Irvine

Vice President, Worldwide Sales

Mark brings more than 20 years of sales and sales management experience to Unisfair.

Prior to joining Unisfair, Mark served as Sr. Vice President, General Manager of Transportation, and Logistics of WhereNet Corp --- a supply chain management company focusing on tracking and managing enterprise assets.  In addition to increasing overall revenue during his tenure, Mark positioned WhereNet in critical vertical markets and spearheaded its transitioning to a solutions-driven company.

At Agile Software, he served as Vice President of North American Sales and Field Operations where he was responsible for business development and the creation of field operations.   Mark helped increase the North American sales revenues and was an integral part of the management team involved in the successful 1999 IPO.

Mark holds a BA in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado.

 

 

Brent Arslaner

Vice President, Marketing

Brent oversees all Global Marketing ensuring Unisfair maintains its leadership role providing Virtual Event solutions.

Prior to joining Unisfair, Brent was Vice President of Marketing at Jamcracker, a leading provider of On Demand Delivery solutions. Before Jamcracker, he was Vice President of Product Strategy at Kana Software where he defined corporate strategy and built strategic partnerships.

Brent went to Kana through its acquisition of Broadbase Software. At Broadbase, he was instrumental in driving the IPO process, successfully acquiring and integrating six companies and growing the company to over $100 million in sales. Earlier, Brent held senior marketing positions at PeopleSoft and Intrepid Systems.

Brent holds a B.S. in Supply Chain Management from Syracuse University.

 

John Hegstrom

Vice President, Global Services

John ensures that every client engagement with Unisfair is successful.

Before joining Unisfair, he led product management, operations, and hosting for Informatica's on-demand products and services where he introduced the world's first multi-tenant data integration service. Prior to Informatica he founded and led Salesforce.com's Global Integration Services and Small Business Services consulting practices where he helped companies large and small integrate and implement the Salesforce.com suite of CRM applications.

John holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Whitman College.

 

Ronen Sobol

Chief Product Officer - Co-Founder

Ronen is responsible for the overall product strategy of Unisfair.

Before founding Unisfair, Ronen was in private law practice and served as a team leader of writers and developers of advanced interactive multimedia systems at the Israeli Center of Educational Technology.

While at the Israeli Center of Educational Technology he won several distinguished prizes including first place at the Visual Communications Festival established by the Israeli Manufacturers' Association and held at the Tel Aviv Museum, and first prize in the European Commission's (UN) Health and Safety Education and Training Materials competition, in 1994.

Ronen is a member of the Israeli bar and holds an LL.B. from the Tel Aviv University Law School.

 

 

Raphy Pariente

Vice President, Research & Development

Raphy brings more than 20 years of experience in managing R&D and Product management teams to Unisfair.

Prior to joining Unisfair, Raphy was Vice President of Security Products for Check Point, a market leader of enterprise firewall, consumer Internet security and VPN technology. In this role, Raphy was responsible for the Enterprise products, which include the company's flagship products FireWall-1 and VPN-1. He also established and managed the SmartDefense services.

Before joining Check Point, he served as the R&D manager for the Applied Materials development site in Israel.

Raphy earned a BSc Cum Laude in Computer Sciences from the Technion Institute of Technology and an MBA from the Tel-Aviv University.

 

Eran Ferri

Vice President

Before joining Unisfair, Eran was worldwide deployment manager for Macrovision (UK) and site manager for Macrovision Israel, where he oversaw research and development of the company's copy protection solution for audio and video content, defined product and project strategy, and managed worldwide deployment and support.

Prior to Macrovision he served as director of product management for Verint Systems (Converse Infosys), overseeing the company's quality monitoring solutions for call centers. He was also Vice President of Research and Development at Trivnet, a provider of online IP-based payment solutions for network service providers.

Eran holds an MSc (magna cum laude) from Tel Aviv University and a BA (cum laude) in Computer Science from the Israel Institute of Technology (Technion), and has pursued doctoral studies in artificial intelligence at Tel Aviv University.
