Mercurio Technologies

Mercurio Technologies provides encryption technology using Quantum Key distribution, which uses lasers to generate pulses of light, called photons. Mercurio would like to use the technology to encrypt large files, such as video.

Jonathan Krafcik and Francesco Pulleti are MBA students at MIT/Sloan and members of the Entrepreneur and Innovation program. Pulleti is a former CEO of an electrical systems company. Krafcik also studied optical electronics.

Mercurio has a prototype, giving it a head start in the marketplace, even over big rivals such as MagiQ. Current technology is not as robust or fast. Mercurio's technology is designed to encrypt large files that are carried over the Internet.
