Company description
Nulaz is a web 2.0 service for the mobile phone and Internet. With Nulaz you can see where your friends are, share locations, and view local info. A cool party or the newest movie: Nulaz tells you what's happening!
Nulaz combines location based information with social networks. Users generate and share their own content, build up a profile and therefore keep themselves better informed about what is going on around them. They can edit the public content and in this way create places of interest together. Nulaz is not a standalone social network, it is a mashup of Facebook, Hyves, Twitter, Jaiku, Gmail, YahooMail, MSN, Skype, Fireeagle, and other internet services to keep up with your friends. It uses OpenSocial and OpenID to connect users over multiple services.
Team

Michiel Munneke
General Management (CEO)

After studying Artificial Intelligence, a BSc. in Information Science, and a MSc. in Business Information Systems at the University of Amsterdam, Michiel went to do a Master in Management Research at the Said Business School in Oxford. There, he rowed the 2006 boat race against Cambridge. During his studies he worked as a free lance web developer and as a musician. After his studies in Oxford he founded Spaesuvius together with Michiel Baneke.

Michiel Baneke
Product Development (COO)

While studying for an MSc degree in Computer Science and Logic at the University of Amsterdam Michiel started his professional career early. He began by programming in-house applications at Treasury Consulting firm Zanders & Partners. This involved an application suite that performed complex econometric calculations, but also simpler applications to speed up day to day affairs of the consultants.

After a year he switched his focus towards more creative job opportunities and worked freelance on several web projects. This involved programming of back-end systems but also design of interfaces and creating graphics.

Through one of these jobs he was hired as a consultant for a small starting IT-company developing financial web services, the Capital Tool Company.

In December 2006, together with Michiel Munneke, he started Spaesuvius, a company that is dedicated to developing software for Mobile Devices.
