Anupam Gupta, president and CEO
Anupam is the CEO of Mixpo, where he is responsible for the vision, business and product strategy, and building the team for flawless execution. His passion is developing and growing scalable online services, based on a strong appreciation and understanding of customer needs. He has a strong background in technology and online services. Before Mixpo, he spent 8 years as a senior business leader in Microsoft's Online Services Group. Most notably, he led the Product Management teams for MSN Messenger, the largest instant messaging service in the world, and MSN Spaces, one of the largest blogging services. Over the years he led many other major global initiatives for MSN including product management for the initial releases of MSN Mobile, driving customer acquisition programs for Internet Access and other subscription services, and expanding the communication services business across Europe. He holds an MBA from Cornell University and an undergraduate engineering degree in computer science from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, India.
Brian Cohee, CTO
Brian leads the product team and is the chief architect of the Mixpo v2 platform. He is passionate about finding simple solutions to complex problems and strives to improve the end-user experience. He joined Mixpo in March 2007.
Brian has held product roles in early-stage Internet companies including Netscape (pre-IPO), RealNetworks, Wavelink, and most recently Trumba. At RealNetworks from 1996-2001, he helped create a distributed video hosting network before CDNs existed (Real Broadcast Network), helped found Real's consulting group (RN Professional Services), was the initial product manager for an innovative video proxy/cache (RealSystem Proxy), and helped shape Real's entry in the mobile video market as the first product manager for RealSystem Mobile.
Glenn Pingul, VP of marketing
Glenn has a passion for building brand loyalty and driving customer adoption-and is responsible for just that at Mixpo. He joined the company in September 2006.
Glenn has leadership experience in all facets of marketing, most recently as vice president of product management at digital-image powerhouse Corbis. There he was responsible for determining and addressing the digital imagery needs of the creative community.
His background also includes extensive marketing strategy, communications and branding through executive positions he has held at companies such as: T-Mobile USA, where he headed up customer marketing, segmentation and MyT-Mobile.com; Nordstrom/Nordstrom.com, where he was responsible for marketing strategy and planning; and Starbucks, where he managed Starbucks.com. Glenn holds an MBA from Cornell University and a bachelor's degree in marketing from Seattle University.
Peter Goldstein, VP sales and business development
Peter began his career working in advertising agencies in New York City as a media planner and account executive. He has 15 years experience selling national and local television and radio advertising in New York City, Los Angeles, and Seattle. At Entercom, he built a digital platform and interactive offering that affected 100 radio stations nationwide. As Director of Media Strategy at Real Networks, Peter was responsible for bringing traditional media companies online. He closed a $13 million deal in his first year. Peter also served as Vice President of Sales at Clear Channel Interactive and founded local promotions and consulting businesses. He has two cool children and is an ex chef, a devoted foody, a wine enthusiast, a golfer, and a road biker.
Angy Merola, VP client services and operations
Angy has more than twelve years of experience in finance, accounting, and business operations in the public and private sectors. Prior to Mixpo, she served in various capacities at aQuantive, Inc. (acquired by Microsoft Corporation in 2007) - most recently at DRIVE Performance Media as Director of Client Services. She also held positions at RealNetworks, Inc., Deloitte & Touche LLP, and the Central Washington University Foundation. Angelina holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Behavior from Central Washington University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
