Ken received honors and a basketball scholarship to attend Cal State University, Los Angeles/Hampton Institute in Hampton Virginia, where he played basketball as a Division II, All American with a major emphasis in Computer Information Systems. Kenneth served as Vice President of the California Alumni Chapter, which helps facilitate a Youth program called "How Can We Make A Difference", with NBA Referee Derrick Richardson.

Steve Kozaki- Director of Sports for MSHF LLC

 

Steve Kozaki- is the President and CEO of National Basketball Events, Inc., one of the largest and most successful sports event management organizations in the United States. Under his guidance, NBE, Inc. has produced many of the nation's largest and most prestigious basketball events for high school athletes, including the Nike Tournament of Champions (established 1996) in Phoenix, AZ and the Nike Summer Showcase (established 1999) in Chicago, IL. Each year more than 400 teams and 5,000 student athletes compete in events produced by NBE, Inc, which is one of a handful of corporations in the world sanctioned by Nike, Inc. to conduct official Nike-sponsored events.

 

Kozaki is also the founder of the California Storm Basketball Club, one of the most successful and visible club basketball programs in the country. As head coach of the Storm, he worked with many future NCAA Division I and professional athletes, including two WNBA first round draft picks and a pair of WNBA All-Stars. He holds a multiple subject teaching credential in California and taught both the fourth and sixth grades in the Cold Spring School District (Santa Barbara, CA) between 1994 and 2002.

Jasamyn Roberts- has worked as Director of Marketing and Member Services for the American Bar Association Law Practice Management Section for the past three years. She held the position of Communications and Publications Manager for the ABA Commission on Women in the Profession for three years prior. 

 

Before joining the American Bar Association, Jasamyn served as Brand Public Relations Coordinator at Marriott International for two years.  She began her career at the National Trust for Historic Preservation as Administrative Assistant to the VP, Human Resources, Finance and Information Technology. She was one of four coordinators for Black Cinema Cafe, a monthly independent black film event. She is a member of the National Association of Professional Women, Toastmasters International, Association Forum, Jack and Jill of America, Inc. and is listed in Cambridge Who's Who.  

 

Jasamyn received her B.S.B.A. in marketing from Roosevelt University. While attending Phillips Exeter Academy, Jasamyn studied the language and culture as part of the School Year Abroad in Barcelona, Spain for one year.

 

Coach Laura Mitchell- Sports Administrator for MSHF LLC

 

Coach Laura Mitchell- founded Sports Dreammakers Inc. in 2005. For over a decade, Mitchell has been helping student-athletes plan a path for a successful college sports experience.  Mitchell authored the Map of Your Future, 1st and 2nd editions, the Map of Your Future Workbook, and the Smart n Savvy Parents Guide to Supporting Your Teen Athlete's Dreams.

Mitchell's concept for college sports counseling was the foundation for a ground breaking program in Mississippi. Mitchell was a partner and the creator of the Cellular South Gameplan. Cellular South, the nation's largest privately held wireless company, funded this statewide initiative for half a million dollars to inform, inspire, and educate the nearly 100,000 student-athletes in Mississippi's high schools. 

 

Mitchell has been a successful high school coach for teams in Michigan and California, and also coached club basketball for the Santa Cruz Quakes girls' club basketball team. Mitchell was an NCAA Head Basketball Coach in Texas and California and served on the NCAA Basketball Championship Committee while a Head Coach. Mitchell was a grad assistant at Pepperdine while attending law school and graduate school. Additionally, Mitchell worked for the University of California in admissions and outreach.

 

Coach Mitchell has spoken about playing sports in college, NCAA eligibility, and reaching the dream of playing college sports for groups of people numbering 2 to 3,500. 
Mitchell is a nationally known student-athlete specialist. In the Spring of 2009, Mitchell will complete her college counseling certificate. Mitchell is on the board of Accuprep, a company founded to help athletes improve the psychology of their game.

 

Carrick DeHart- Public Relations for MSHF LLC

 

Carrick Dehart- Carrick D. DeHart Director of Development Regional Giving at UC Santa Barbara and also Director of Operations & Head Coach of Blazers Basketball Carrick Manages Region Giving (Orange County/San Diego), which generates private (unrestricted) support for the campus in the form of gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations for all campus programs, including student scholarships, academic programs, teaching research and athletics? He works with regional campaign committee volunteers to create university awareness and support.

 

Carrick a program director of many sorts honed the majority of his skills through sport competition, athletic program development and coaching. DeHart earned his B.A. from UC Santa Barbara. Where he played Basketball from (1986-90) and received recognition as a Three-time All-Big West selection 1986-1987...1987 Big West Freshmen of the Year...Selected Honorable Mention All-America in 1990...Named All-District and All-Region in 1990...UCSB's career scoring leader with 1,687 points, the only player in school history to score more than 1,600 points...The only player in school history to average double-figure points all four seasons. Helped guide the Gauchos to three postseason appearances including the 1988 and 1990 NCAA Tournaments...Played for the West Team at the U.S. Olympic Sports Festival in 1987...Played for the U.S. National Team in the Jones Cup...Signed with the Boston Celtics as a free agent.

 

George Quintero- Director of Sports Operations for MSHF LLC

 

George Quintero- George Quintero has coached elite high school level basketball in Southern California for more than 23 years; a distinguished career in which he has trained dozens of future NCAA Division I athletes and professional players and WNBA.

 

Quintero began his high school coaching career in 1985 at Santa Monica High School, where he would spend six seasons as the assistant coach for the powerful SaMo boys' program. Since that time he has had successful stints as a head coach at South Torrance (boys', 1993); Santa Monica Crossroads (1996-1998); and Los Angeles Marlborough (1998-2003), designed and developed the program into a powerhouse HS Girls basketball program in California, where his teams won three California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Division IV championships.

 

In 1993 Quintero founded the Westside Basketball Club in Santa Monica, which for 16 years has been one of the most well respected youth basketball programs in the State. WBC focuses on skill development for both male and female student athletes, and sponsors the traveling California's Finest Basketball Club.

 

In 2006 Quintero was named director and head coach of the California Storm - one of just 20 elite Nike-sponsored girls basketball teams in the nation. In his first two seasons with the Storm, Quintero oversaw the development of three of America's premier players in the Class of 2008, including USA Basketball team member and University of Tennessee freshman Alyssia Brewer.

 

Privately Quintero is an Account Manager for Astrex Electronics, a New York based company that is a leading supplier of interconnects for the aerospace industry. He has been with the company since 1992.

 

Brian Eggleston- Sports Producer/Writer for MSHF LLC

 

Brian Eggleston- was born in New England and started working in television for The Nashville Network (TNN) in Myrtle Beach, SC on the long-running talk show Crook and Chase.  He later moved to California after being offered a position working for the Grammys®.  Since then, Brian has worked for such popular programs as American Idol, Mad TV, Let's Make a Deal, Fame, To Tell The Truth, , Family Feud, Tracey Ullman: Live and Exposed, Card Sharks, CW Now, HSN's Trend Shopper and the HBO- One Night Stand comedic series.  He is currently the Writer/Supervising Producer for The Royce Clayton Show and works as the Research Supervisor/Field Producer for the TBS branch of the popular entertainment show Extra; TBS Movie Extra and TBS Weekend Extra.  Brian also wrote and produced the pilot "In The Footsteps of Thieves," starring John O'Hurley for Exodus Entertainment and is also currently in development with several television and film projects.  

 

Chris Callahan- Web Graphic Director for MSHF LLC

 

Chris Callahan- Chris moved to LA in 2001 after drawing interest in one of his feature scripts.  His first job was as a legal intern at Paramount Pictures, before moving on to a story analyst position for Laura Ziskin, working on projects like Spider-man 2 and Stealth.
 
Deciding to go more nuts and bolts with his career, Chris began working in post-production, eventually overseeing the graphic design and look of over 350 episodes of aired television for Animal Planet, The WB, FOX, and ABC. 
 
Ranging from promotional spots he produced for Girls Gone Wild, to Underdog movie promos for Disney, Chris has extensive television experience. He currently serves as an art director for Telepictures, a division of Warner Bros, where he's worked on various shows including CW NOw and the news magazine Extra.
 
In addition to his studio work, his short film Wedlock, which he wrote and directed, premiere in the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival.  And another of his pilots has been picked up for distribution in Europe.
 
Chris has also held the position of Web Editor for Mantra Films, overseeing content production and management of the Girls Gone Wild site.
