Don Springer (President and CEO):
Mr. Springer is a successful entrepreneur who founded two previous companies and returned more than 500% to his investors. Prior to Collective Intellect, he was General Manager of the Business Process Optimization Group at webMethods. During his tenure, he led more than 40% revenue growth in consecutive quarters, reaching an annualized run-rate of $30M for his business group. Mr. Springer co-founded Dante Software, a venture capital-backed company acquired by webMethods (WEBM) in the fall of 2003. Prior to Dante Software, he was a co-founder of iauthentic, a natural products e-commerce portal acquired by Whole Foods Markets in 1999. Mr. Springer has worked for Silicon Graphics, Booz Allen Hamilton, and Augat Inc., an electronics component manufacturer now part of Tyco. He has an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, and a B.S. in Systems Engineering at the University of Virginia.
Tim WoltersTim Wolters (CTO):
Mr. Wolters is a well known industry thought leader in the area of using statistical modeling to extract knowledge from unstructured data sources. His work pioneered the use of advanced analytical non-linear correlation models in building business applications. Mr. Wolters holds several patents in the areas of Business Intelligence (BI) and Business Activity Monitoring (BAM). Prior to Collective Intellect, He was chief architect for BAM at webMethods, leading the technical architecture and product strategy for their BAM and Business Process Management (BPM) products. Mr. Wolters co-founded Dante Software, and was the inventor and patent author of its BAM neural network fingerprinting technology. Prior to Dante Software, he co-founded cc-genesis, an e-business application development and hosting provider of outsourced services. Mr. Wolters has more than twenty years experience in the software technology sector, working with a variety of start-ups and mid-market companies to invent, architect, and deliver successful solutions to the marketplace. Richard KeckRichard Keck (CFO):
Mr. Keck is an accomplished executive with more than 20 years experience in dynamic service businesses, including companies in the finance, logistics, technology marketing and IT outsourcing. Prior to Collective Intellect, he was the Vice President of Finance for IT outsourcing at Infocrossing, a publicly-traded firm which had acquired (i)Structure from Level 3 where he had served as Vice President of Finance and Service Management. Prior to joining (i)Structure, he led the EMEA finance team for Corporate Software when it was acquired by Level 3. Mr. Keck’s hyper-growth entrepreneurial experiences were honed in the logistics arena. Over the course of eight years, Keck’s Greenfield start-up was purchased by American Backhaulers where, as CFO, he lead the finance team that supported the rapid expansion and eventual sale of the company to C.H. Robinson. Keck holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, and graduated with honors with a B.S. in Accountancy from the University of Illinois in Urbana.
Darren KellyDarren Kelly (Senior Vice President, Business Development):
Mr. Kelly is a seasoned finance and technology executive with more than fourteen years of research, marketing and business development experience. Mostly recently, he served as Vice President of Sales & Marketing for NetCracker Technology, a privately-held provider of Network Operating System (OSS) solutions. Previously, Mr. Kelly was with Level 3 Communications in a variety of strategic and operational roles, including corporate development, corporate strategy, strategic alliances, marketing, channel development and sales operations. He has provided strategic management consulting to the financial industry and other Fortune 500 clients while with Bain & Co. Mr. Kelly spent his early career as both an investment banking analyst and research analyst with Nesbitt Burns, Canada's largest investment bank. He is a Charted Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Investment Manager (CIM) & Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute. Pete MoranPete Moran (Vice President of Sales):
Mr. Moran is an innovative sales and marketing executive with extensive experience in large and small media and technology companies spanning a 25-year career. As a industry specialist, he has exhibited successful leadership in advertising sales for three of the largest cable MSO’s and a variety of Advanced Advertising, Direct Marketing and Internet-based businesses. His entrepreneurial nature has led to a strong track record in sales, marketing and organizational development. A focus on business integrity and a unique ability to place companies’ many moving parts in their proper place by forging partnerships, building consensus and leading by example helped build a sold reputation within the media and advertising industries.
Greg GreenstreetGreg Greenstreet (Vice President of Engineering):
Mr. Greenstreet has more than sixteen years experience delivering scientific and commercial software applications. He has a solid background in mathematics, artificial intelligence and parallel processing, directing commercial applications in aerospace, networking, storage and telecommunications. Prior to joining Collective Intellect, He was senior engineer, architect, and development manager at Creek Path Systems. Mr. Greenstreet holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Colorado State University and a M.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from University of Colorado, with thesis work in parallel processing.
John DiVirgilioJohn DiVirgilio (Architect):
Mr. DiVirgilio is a respected information technology (IT) professional with years of experience in building systems for the financial trading community. Previously, he was involved in the initial conception and design of the ebusiness security framework at Sun Microsystems, and the implementation of a worldwide event correlation and monitoring platform. Prior to Sun, Mr. DiVirgilio worked for Janus Funds, where he designed and implemented fund performance reports and real-time currency hedge trading programs. While at Janus, he led efforts to implement a portfolio management system as well as its integration into a real-time trading platform. As an independent contractor, he created portfolio rebalancing simulations for financial analysts. At Requisite Technology, he was lead developer on a distributed ecommerce catalog query service. Mr. DiVirgilio holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Psychology from Metropolitan State College of Denver.
Mehrshad Setayesh (External Interface Architect):
With professional experience spanning more than twenty years, Mr. Setayesh has performed as a software engineer, team lead and architect. Prior to joining Collective Intellect, he served as a senior staff software engineer for CreekPath Systems, where he invented the Dynamic Code Execution patent, allowing programming language methods to be invoked dynamically at runtime in a call stack fashion using a live XML language. Previously, he served as team lead and architect for WebLink Wireless, where he designed and implemented messaging systems. Mr. Setayesh studied programming languages at Federal Polytechnic School of Engineering in Lausanne, Switzerland and holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Texas A&M and a Masters in Software Engineering from Southern Methodist University.
Geoff HibbleGeoff Hibble (Director IT Operations):
Mr. Hibble is a proven IT and business professional, with more than fifteen years in the IT industry focusing primarily on software, hardware, and networking. Most recently, he implemented and operated ResortQuest International's multi-million dollar, high availability data center environment in Denver, Colorado. Prior to this, Mr. Hibble co-founded CNS Vital Signs, a company that produces a battery of software tests for the computerized assessment of neurocognition. He also co-founded Netraverse, a company that produces remote desktop computing solutions. Mr. Hibble has acted as an independent consultant, and has extensive experience in architecting, implementing and managing technical solutions to support corporate IT needs. Mr. Hibble holds a B.Eng Computer Systems from Curtin University of Technology, Perth, Australia.
Jim Carlson Jim Carlson (Vice President of Customer Operations):
Mr. Carlson has more than 12 years experience leading diverse teams through new product launch initiatives and managing major customer implementation projects. Prior to Collective Intellect, he was Director of Product Development for Level 3 Communications where he was responsible for delivery of new VoIP products to the market. Mr. Carlson spent many years as a consultant to Fortune 500 and technology companies while with Ernst & Young, LLP as well as his own management consulting firm. Mr. Carlson holds a B.A. in Engineering from Lafayette College in Pennsylvania.
