The directors and officers of BreakingPoint have over 50 combined years of experience in the network and security technology field. They have started and built successful companies such as NetWorth, NetSpeed and TippingPoint.

* NetWorth was the leader in stackable hubs and switches. Before being acquired by Compaq, NetWorth was a publicly traded company for more than five years on the Nasdaq National Market.
* NetSpeed was the pioneer of Consumer Broadband Equipment, and provided DSL Central Office Equipment to major telecommunication providers, such US West. NetSpeed, a private company, was acquired by Cisco in 1998, and the NetSpeed acquisition provided Cisco its first significant presence in Austin technology market.
* TippingPoint was the originator of Intrusion Prevention Technology and the technological leader in the network security sector. TippingPoint received numerous awards for its ground breaking technology and market leadership. TippingPoint was acquired by 3Com in 2005, and continues to operate in Austin as a division of 3Com. Prior to the acquisition, TippingPoint was a publicly traded company on the Nasdaq National Market.

Team

Des Wilson (CEO):
Mr. Wilson was most recently Chief Executive Officer at Axel Johnson Inc. (AJI). AJI is a $3 billion privately-owned corporation with interests in the technology, energy and environmental sectors. Prior to AJI, Mr. Wilson was President of the Service Assurance division of Spirent Communications. Mr. Wilson joined Spirent as the result of Spirent's acquisition of Hekimian Laboratories Inc., where he was CEO.

Hekimian was one of North America's leading suppliers of network management and test systems to telecommunications service providers. Mr. Wilson spent 14 years at Hekimian and was named CEO in 1998.
